Job Summary

Assist the Rail Manager with daily production by unloading rail cars using heavy equipment and supporting plant operations. Perform miscellaneous rail yard and plant duties including general labor, shoveling, equipment maintenance, and assisting crew members and supervisors. Maintain safe and efficient operation of a front-end loader and skid steer, follow safety procedures, detect hazards and malfunctions, and may perform welding and fabrication as required. Work nights/weekends and be willing to travel as needed.

Key Responsibilities

•Unload product from railcars at various company facilities.
•Assist the plant foreperson with daily plant operations and upkeep.
•Operate heavy equipment such as a front-end loader and skid steer loader safely and efficiently.
•Perform miscellaneous duties including general labor, shoveling, equipment maintenance, and assisting crew members as needed.
•May perform welding and fabrication duties as required.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or GED; or 1 to 3 months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination.
•Ability to safely and efficiently operate heavy equipment, including a front-end loader and skid steer loader.
•General understanding of OSHA and MSHA regulations, with strict adherence to safety procedures.
•Ability to detect safety hazards and equipment malfunctions and respond accordingly.
•Willingness to follow directions and work travel needs, including nights and weekends when necessary.
