Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform electrical design work and onsite support for thermal, hydro, and wind power plants and switchyards, assisting engineers on moderately complex designs.
  • •Create and update electrical design drawings and as-built packages, ensuring design concepts and details are accurately conveyed.
  • •Apply design practices and guidelines, including engineering principles, codes, standards, and company requirements.
  • •Manage drawing modifications using a drawing management system, including research and resolution of documentation discrepancies.
  • •Provide onsite support, prepare field reports, and develop red-lines and turnover materials to assist construction personnel and troubleshooting.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in engineering technology or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • •P2: Typically 2+ years of electrical design, drafting, or related experience; P1: typically 2 or fewer years.
  • •Preferred: working knowledge of schematics and wiring diagrams, including station service and high voltage protective relaying/control systems.
  • •Valid driver’s license required, with travel to various generation facilities.
  • •Preferred: working knowledge of engineering concepts and plant requirements translated into detailed design solutions.
