Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide day-to-day support delivering concept studies/strategies and transport planning outputs including Transport Statements, Transport Assessments, Travel Plans, Parking Studies, Access Studies, and Movement and Access Studies.
  • •Lead and manage planning applications and post-permission/discharge of planning condition works, ensuring delivery to budget, programme, technical standards and legal requirements.
  • •Manage and maintain collaborative working relationships with clients, colleagues and staff, serving as a lead client contact for consultancy services.
  • •Keep up-to-date with relevant standards and policies, and support business growth through networking and attending conferences.
  • •Support stakeholder engagement, design team liaison, and project management; provide guidance and mentoring to technical staff where needed.

Key Requirements

  • •A numerate first degree in Transport, Mathematics, Geography, Civil Engineering, Planning or a related subject.
  • •Significant experience delivering a wide range of transport planning projects across development planning, scheme delivery, sustainable transport and active travel.
  • •Knowledge of appropriate transport planning guidance and best practice, including junction design (priority, roundabout, signals) and relevant standards.
  • •Working knowledge of junction modelling software such as Junctions 9 (PICADY & ARCADY) and Linsig, with enough experience to mentor others and interpret results.
  • •Experience managing projects financially and by programme, with responsibilities including line management and day-to-day operations.
