Key Responsibilities

  • •Modify and/or adapt the K12 curriculum to meet each student’s unique needs aligned to state content standards.
  • •Collaborate with general education teachers to deliver individualized and small-group sessions for targeted students.
  • •Implement RTI by overseeing data collection and progress monitoring at each tier and using data to guide instruction and grouping.
  • •Educate parents on instructional strategies and provide ongoing training and support to school/district staff on RTI and data collection procedures.
  • •Work with the special education team to facilitate eligibility for special education and coordinate/trac Tier 2 interventions with district personnel; travel up to 20% for professional development and student testing as required.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree and 0–1 year of related professional experience.
  • •Active Arizona middle school special education teaching certification (Arizona Department of Education).
  • •Active state teaching license and ability to clear the required background check.
