Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate the vehicle according to applicable state and federal transportation laws and transport loads safely and on schedule.
  • •Maneuver truck and trailer into loading/unloading areas, following loading crew signals.
  • •Assist with loading/unloading and return equipment to designated areas, using specialized equipment when needed.
  • •Maintain and deliver required paperwork (invoices, shipping bills of lading, and delivery documentation).
  • •Perform routine service on trucks (e.g., check oil/water/gas/air) and report maintenance issues to the Shipping Supervisor.

Key Requirements

  • •Must hold either a commercial drivers license (Class A CDL) or a chauffeur’s license appropriate for the vehicle weight, as required by state law.
  • •Pass background and drug testing per federal/state DOT regulations and complete a DOT physical (trucks driven are over 10k lbs).
  • •Be at least 21 years old and have a clean driving record.
  • •Maintain strong customer service skills and speak professionally with customers and staff at delivery points.
  • •Lift/move up to 40 pounds and be able to sit for prolonged periods in a trailer cab; be able to travel frequently.
