Job Summary

Determine the performance of plant systems at a Southern Natural Gas compressor station by acquiring and analyzing data using specialized test equipment. Operate and apply engine/compressor analysis, vibration, emissions, borescope, and balance tools to identify performance issues and provide corrective actions. Support operations with technical assistance, training, failure analysis, capital/O&M improvement prioritization, GHG monitoring and reporting, calibration/QA/QC, and gas quality sampling.

•Determine plant system performance by acquiring and analyzing data using specialized test equipment.
•Provide corrective actions to resolve operational problems and coordinate with location personnel on equipment issues.
•Provide technical assistance, training, and support for operations and maintenance policies and procedures.
•Conduct failure analysis and help develop standard practices and procedures, including support for capital/O&M improvement project identification.
•Perform GHG data collection, direct measurements/meter readings, equipment calibrations and QA/QC checks, reporting, and gas quality sampling and analysis.

Key Requirements

•Experience using specialized test equipment to provide corrective actions for engine and compressor performance issues.
•Good analytical, computer, verbal, and written skills to work cohesively with operations personnel to resolve technical problems.
•Knowledge of GHG regulations (EPA/GHG/MRR and other state regulations) to meet programmatic requirements.
