Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform initial acceptance checks, complete teardowns, and advanced troubleshooting of weapon malfunctions using specialized diagnostic tools.
  • •Replace worn, broken, or obsolete parts on pistols, rifles, shotguns, submachine guns, and heavy artillery per technical manuals and manufacturer specifications.
  • •Align, adjust, and test-fire repaired weapon systems to verify optimal function, precision, and accuracy.
  • •Maintain physical vault safety, strict inventory accountability for sensitive items and ammunition, and accurate maintenance logs.
  • •Train, mentor, and supervise subordinate armorers and lower level gunsmithing personnel.

Key Requirements

  • •8 to 10 years of professional small arms repair experience (or equivalent military/civilian small arms training).
  • •Completion of 92Y Unit Armorer Certification Course: 551-F29 (MTT-A/G) or equivalent training.
  • •Experienced user with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • •Ability to pass pre-employment drug test and background screening.
  • •Ability to receive a favorable TIER-1 investigation result and obtain/maintain a CAC.
