Job Summary

Set up and operate CNC milling, turning, and live tooling machines to produce precision components within specification. Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD files, input and adjust CNC programs, and perform in-process and final inspections using precision measuring tools. Maintain machines through preventive maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical or programming issues to minimize downtime. Keep production, quality, and maintenance records and follow all safety and compliance procedures.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform accurate setup and operation of CNC mills, turning, and live tooling machines based on production requirements.
•Load materials and complete initial calibration and alignment checks to ensure readiness.
•Read and interpret drawings/blueprints/CAD files and input/modify CNC programs to optimize production while maintaining quality.
•Conduct regular in-process and final inspections and implement corrective actions for deviations from specifications.
•Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical or programming issues; maintain records and follow safety/compliance requirements.

Key Requirements

•Minimum 5 years’ hands-on experience operating CNC mills and turning machines in a precision engineering context.
•Proficient in CNC programming, with practical knowledge of Hurco systems (advantageous).
•Ability to read, interpret, and apply specifications from technical drawings and blueprints, including GD&T standards.
•Experience using precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges) to verify product conformity.
•High school certificate (or equivalent) required; technical certification or an associate degree in machining/tool & die making (preferred).
