Job Summary

Design and deliver building technology systems across telecommunications, electronic safety & security, audio-visual, and healthcare nurse call/paging. Collaborate with architects, owners, and other engineers through the full project lifecycle—gathering requirements, creating coordinated construction documents, managing resources, and supporting construction via RFIs/submittal reviews, site surveys, and meetings. Coordinate integration with intelligent building systems and apply applicable codes and standards.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide designs for telecommunications, electronic safety & security, audio-visual, and healthcare nurse call/paging systems.
•Contribute to project delivery from inception through completion as part of a larger team.
•Coordinate with clients to gather and document system and design requirements.
•Create design narratives and coordinated construction documents, including drawings and CSI specifications.
•Support construction with meetings, review/respond to submittals and RFIs, and perform site surveys.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 103,000 - 140,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Four-year degree (B.S. in engineering preferred) or equivalent combination of technical education and related work experience designing building technology systems.
•5–7 years’ experience designing high-performance building technology systems for the AEC consulting and engineering industry.
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills to organize and present design information to clients.
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
•Ability to work directly with clients (including federal/public clients) and uphold workplace safety and WSP health, safety, drug/alcohol, and harassment policies.
