Job Summary

Safely operate asphalt rollers and compactors on heavy highway projects to bring asphalt, soils, and aggregate within required compaction specifications. You’ll work with road construction needs using knowledge of asphalt/aggregate characteristics, rolling patterns, and vibrating frequencies, while following grades and maintaining safe, efficient equipment operation. The role also includes meeting physical and attendance expectations to support reliable project work.

Key Responsibilities

•Safely and efficiently operate asphalt rollers and compactors to achieve compaction specifications for asphalt, soils, and aggregate.
•Use knowledge of rolling patterns, vibrating frequencies, and grades to support proper compaction.
•Read and apply basic measurements (including using a tape measure) and basic math for work tasks.
•Maintain reliable attendance and meet company standards while supporting a positive attitude.
•Pass required physical examinations as part of job readiness.

•Preferred experience operating an asphalt roller on road construction projects.
