Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead feasibility studies, analysis, and bridge design for civil structures, including culverts, retaining walls, drainage structures, and special structures.
  • •Deliver preliminary and detailed designs and perform bridge assessments, load ratings, and rehabilitation/strengthening designs.
  • •Prepare and review technical calculations, drawings, reports, cost estimates, and quantity take-offs; support tender documentation and contract administration.
  • •Ensure document control, QA/QC compliance, and sign-off of calculations/deliverables; identify and escalate technical/commercial/resourcing risks.
  • •Lead and mentor engineers and BIM technicians, coordinate multidisciplinary inputs, provide progress updates, and manage delegated tasks.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s degree preferred).
  • •Membership of an accredited professional engineering body.
  • •UK Chartered Engineer status or near Chartered is desirable.
  • •8–15 years of relevant bridge engineering experience.
  • •Ability to ensure compliance with design codes and Nordic engineering standards while delivering bridge projects.
