Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead design, plan development tasks, and perform structural analysis and design with a focus on Michigan highway structures.
  • •Actively maintain project scope, design changes, and project budget and schedule while assigned to projects.
  • •Mentor, train, and develop staff and others performing similar work.
  • •Coordinate closely with project team and perform independent QC/QA reviews.
  • •Contribute to and lead technical proposals; represent WSP at relevant professional society meetings and conferences.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering; strong academic foundation for structural analysis and design.
  • •P.E. registration in Michigan and ability to acquire in other states.
  • •5 to 10 years of relevant post-education experience in Structural Engineering with an emphasis on bridges.
  • •Proficiency with discipline-specific design software (MicroStation, ANSYS, STADD, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS) and related tools.
  • •Ability to lead design teams, mentor staff, and ensure QA/QC adherence in a collaborative environment.
