Key Responsibilities

•Develop and apply methods to collect and analyze data from site surveys, blueprints, GIS data, geotechnical information, and other sources for project development, design, and construction.
•Perform professional structural engineering work including research and inspections of site conditions and structures to ensure conformance with applicable rules, standards, and permits.
•Develop construction plans, specifications, cost estimates, safety and phasing plans, and coordinate with owners, other disciplines, sub-consultants, and clients.
•Incorporate advanced modeling techniques and design requirements to ensure safety and functionality for end-users and transportation systems, aligning with future-ready solutions.
•Work both independently and in cross-functional teams to execute multiple projects, lay out installations, establish reference points, select materials, estimate costs, and ensure compliance with specifications and regulatory documentation.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering (or closely related discipline) with 5-7 years post-education experience
•Registered Professional Engineer in New York State or able to obtain via reciprocity
•Proficient knowledge of structural engineering principles, practices, process, design/build, and applicable regulations
•Experience with infrastructure planning, design, and construction management; involvement in rehabilitation and new design projects
•Proficiency with technical writing and discipline-specific design software (e.g., CSiBridge, STAAD, Larsa, Midas, MicroStation, OpenBridge Designer, AutoCAD Civil 3D, ArcGIS, OpenRoads Designer)
