Key Responsibilities

  • •Assist with structural analysis, design calculations, and technical documentation (load assessment, member sizing, reinforcement detailing, drawings, and technical reports) under supervision.
  • •Build simple finite element analysis models by applying loads/boundary conditions and interpreting post-processed results under supervision.
  • •Support bridge and structural inspections and condition assessments by capturing field notes and photos and helping with site logistics and safety.
  • •Assist feasibility studies and options assessments by gathering as-built information, reviewing constraints, and developing options under supervision.
  • •Support project delivery through construction monitoring, site visits, technical coordination, and project information management (ITP/RFI review and tracking).

Key Requirements

  • •Be in your penultimate year of a Bachelor’s or Postgraduate degree in Civil Engineering and taking structural papers.
  • •Have strong communication, teamwork, and a positive, proactive attitude with adaptability and professionalism.
  • •Able to work full time hours from 16 November 2026 to 19 February 2027.
  • •Must have full working rights to work in New Zealand before applying.
  • •Preferably holds a full New Zealand driver’s license.
