Job Summary

Originate residential first mortgage loans for outside referrals, taking applications through closing and managing the full loan pipeline. Meet sales and cross-selling goals while maintaining compliant processes and following escalation protocols. Build and maintain referral relationships, collect and deliver required documentation on schedule, and provide timely progress updates to branches and applicants. Ensure risk accountability and strong customer experience throughout the loan lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

•Originate residential first mortgage loans from application to closing for outside referrals.
•Develop and maintain referral contacts (realtors, builders, and professional/personal contacts).
•Maintain knowledge of mortgage policies, loan products, processing procedures, underwriting, and departmental guidelines.
•Complete required application steps (including Fannie Mae Form 1003) and use systems to access rates, credit reports, Loan Prospector responses, and transmit loans to LOMAS.
•Manage loan pipeline through closing, provide timely updates, and complete required management reports while meeting customer service expectations.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or equivalent mandatory; four-year college degree preferred.
•Knowledge of conventional and/or government lending guidelines and federal lending regulations for real estate lending.
•Knowledge of residential mortgage processing, underwriting, and closing procedures.
•Proven organizational skills, strong written and verbal communication, and teamwork/customer service skills.
•This position requires S.A.F.E. Act registration through the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) at the time of employment.
