Job Summary

Assist clients in originating residential mortgage loans by advising on home lending options that fit their needs and financial goals. Prospect and develop referrals to grow mortgage business, meet sales goals, and maintain client satisfaction and loan quality. Manage the origination process from application through closing, serving as the primary point of contact, gathering required documents, and staying current on real estate and mortgage market trends in a branch environment.

Key Responsibilities

•Prospect and develop new client loan originations and relationships to grow home lending business.
•Originate and process targeted residential mortgage transactions following Home Lending process and product guidelines.
•Provide clients detailed information on mortgage options, interest rates, and terms to support informed decisions.
•Gather documents at loan registration and serve as the primary point of contact through the loan process.
•Maintain knowledge of KeyBank products, systems/workflows, and real estate/mortgage industry trends; provide in-person client services 4+ days/week in a branch environment.

Travel: Low travel

Key Requirements

•3+ years experience as a loan officer in 1st mortgage production (preferred).
•Working knowledge of FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA, TIL regulations, Equal Credit Opportunity Act, RESPA regulations, and local/state real estate and finance laws (preferred).
•Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field or equivalent experience (preferred).
•Excellent written and verbal communication and strong customer service skills.
•Proficiency in sales and service skills, including tele-consulting, prospecting, networking, and COI relationship management.
