Job Summary

Lead engineering teams building fraud detection and risk services within Visa’s Ecosystem & Operational Risk organization. Own architecture and key design decisions for complex products, translate requirements into system designs, and manage release/estimation plans. Establish standards for code quality, security, maintainability, testing, and monitoring, and guide incident response. Key Responsibilities

•Monitor throughput across multiple teams, assess delivery feasibility, and oversee stakeholder partnerships to define user requirements.
•Guide requirements gathering, incorporate feedback and metrics, and review gaps in acceptance criteria.
•Oversee translation of requirements into system designs aligned to business strategy, and lead architecture discussions and design decisions.
•Manage project plans, release plans, and estimation processes while addressing escalated issues and removing technical obstacles.
•Set standards for code quality, security, maintainability, debugging, automation, code review, test planning, monitoring, and incident response; coach and develop engineering talent.

Key Requirements

•15+ years of relevant work experience plus a Bachelor’s degree, or an advanced degree.
•Experience leading software engineering teams in fintech, payments, or banking technology/software systems.
•Proven expertise with Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, React, RESTful APIs, SQL/NoSQL databases, Kubernetes, and Kafka.
•Experience with requirements gathering, system design, and architecture for complex software solutions.
•Leadership role with direct reports, including coaching, talent management, and engineering development.
