Key Responsibilities

  • •Establish and execute the Manufacturing Engineering strategy for a high-mix, high-volume aerospace metal-mechanics environment, supporting safety, quality, delivery, cost, productivity, capacity, and growth.
  • •Ensure alignment of product requirements, engineering specifications, manufacturing processes, technical data, and shop-floor execution to meet manufacturing objectives.
  • •Ensure compliance with NADCAP, AS9100, FAA, OSHA, environmental, and applicable aerospace quality and regulatory requirements.
  • •Optimize processes, capacity, labor, equipment, tooling, cycle time, flow, and asset utilization; drive improvements in capability, variation, productivity, scrap/rework, and utilization.
  • •Implement and mature Lean/continuous improvement systems (standard work, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, PFMEA, structured problem solving) and lead manufacturing readiness for new product introduction, engineering changes, transfers, and rate increases.

Key Requirements

  • •University degree and 8+ years of relevant manufacturing engineering experience (or an advanced degree with 5+ years).
  • •8+ years of progressive manufacturing engineering experience with demonstrated leadership of engineering teams and responsibility for manufacturing performance and continuous improvement.
  • •Working knowledge of SAP, ERP, MES, and manufacturing data systems.
  • •Strong knowledge of PFMEA, process capability, SPC, MSA, DOE, root-cause analysis, and structured problem solving.
  • •Experience with aerospace or automotive metal-mechanics components and processes, including machining, welding, assembly, chemical processing, and heat treatment.
