Key Responsibilities

  • •Ensure fair and ethical treatment of laying hens.
  • •Remove dead birds from all cages/systems.
  • •Walk up and down all rows to fix egg blockages and keep egg transfers/collectors clear.
  • •Replace burnt out light bulbs and keep feeders, waterers, and heaters in good condition when needed.
  • •Clean walkways and barn areas, including sweeping debris, blowing off egg collectors, blowing down barn fronts/backs, and catching loose birds.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 15 - 17.5 hourly

Key Requirements

  • •No prior experience and/or training required.
  • •Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • •May operate small hand tools and air compressors and other equipment as required.
  • •Ability to stand and walk regularly and perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • •Ability to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as needed.
