Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform duties in the deck, engine, and galley departments as assigned by leadership.
  • •When assigned to the engine department, help maintain decks and ladder ways, support supplies/tool organization, assist with maintenance, and learn machinery operations.
  • •When assigned to the deck department, support sanitation, mooring line assistance, cargo operations support, upkeep of assigned equipment, and lookout duties as required.
  • •Participate in all drills and emergencies and assist with enforcement of rules, regulations, and pollution prevention.
  • •When assigned to the galley department, perform food preparation and support cleaning, garbage removal, and storage tasks as requested by the Steward.

  • •Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis (not current employer).
  • •Currently hold, or have the ability to obtain, a U.S. Passport.
  • •Transportation Workers Identification Card (TWIC).
  • •Merchant Mariner Credential (MMC).
  • •Ability to perform safety-sensitive duties, including physical work (lifting/pushing/pulling) and work aboard vessels for extended periods (away from home over two months).
