Job Summary

Supervise a poultry processing production line/department to ensure procedures are followed in compliance with HACCP, SSOPs, GMP, USDA, and OSHA requirements. Lead line scheduling, personnel deployment, daily reporting, and process optimization to improve throughput, waste reduction, and product quality. Partner with Quality Assurance, drive process improvements, and mentor and coach up to 100 employees while promoting a zero-accident safety culture.

Key Responsibilities

•Supervise production line/department personnel to meet procedures, compliance requirements, and production schedules while maintaining customer specifications and satisfaction.
•Establish and adjust procedures to increase efficiencies, manage ergonomics, and meet or exceed budget objectives.
•Ensure accurate daily reporting (departmental reports, attendance/staffing, yields) and identify opportunities for process optimization and repeat-deficiency reduction.
•Lead or participate in process improvements, monitor improvement metrics, and respond to unfavorable trends in coordination with Quality Assurance.
•Mentor, coach, train, and cross-train employees; administer performance improvement plans and disciplinary actions fairly, and promote safety initiatives to maintain a zero-accident culture.

Key Requirements

•Minimum 1 year of experience in a manufacturing setting; 3 years in food manufacturing or the poultry industry preferred.
•Minimum 1 year of leadership experience (timekeeping requirements, policy adherence, conflict resolution, and resolving issues efficiently).
•Working knowledge of poultry processing, food safety regulations, OSHA guidelines, GMP, and HACCP.
•Ability to communicate effectively in English (verbal and written); ability to communicate in multiple languages preferred.
•Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to prioritize and manage multiple projects.
