Key Responsibilities

  • •Work with program managers to identify and prioritize ongoing volunteer needs and design long-term recurring volunteer opportunities and programs.
  • •Develop and execute volunteer recruitment plans with churches, organizations, events, and social media; guide volunteers through application, background checks, and onboarding.
  • •Develop and deliver regular volunteer trainings (virtual or in person) and connect volunteers to appropriate opportunities.
  • •Maintain the volunteer database and monitor tasks for candidates/volunteers, including forms, training completion, background checks, and volunteer hour logging.
  • •Serve as the primary point of contact for “Welcome Houses,” resolving scheduling and interpersonal issues as they arise.

Key Requirements

  • •2+ years of relevant work experience
  • •Comfortable managing interpersonal conflict and communication challenges with professional service skills
  • •Valid driver’s license, access to a reliable vehicle, and ability to pass MVR standards
  • •Ability to manage dozens of volunteer relationships simultaneously and provide strong administration and organizational skills
  • •Strong writing and public speaking skills, with flexibility for evening and weekend events or trainings
