Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop new products and line extensions, taking concepts from bench-top development through full commercialization.
  • •Run production and pilot plant tests to refine formulations and develop product prototypes, documenting results and organizing product reviews.
  • •Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Business, Marketing, Sales, Manufacturing, Finance, Engineering, Quality, Process Control) to drive product development.
  • •Maintain accurate project files, formulations, specifications, and product data to support consistent development.
  • •Identify and approve ingredient and manufacturing suppliers to enhance production capabilities, while supporting R&D team members with prototype creation as needed.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or a related field plus 2+ years of relevant plant manufacturing experience in the meat processing industry, or equivalent education and experience.
  • •Strong scientific knowledge of meat and non-meat ingredients and their functionality; able to work with pilot plant equipment with minimum supervision.
  • •Proficiency in online work systems and product development software tools.
  • •Ability to continuously improve food/meat science and product development skills and understand current plant process systems.
  • •Ability to multi-task with strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, and time management skills.
