Key Responsibilities

  • •Set technical direction for BMC firmware across current and future server platforms, including architecture and stack strategy.
  • •Lead BMC bring-up on new server platforms (kernel, U-Boot, device tree, sensor management, fan/thermal control, power sequencing, host interfaces) with ODM/OEM partner teams.
  • •Own the BMC build, CI/CD, signing, and release pipeline end-to-end.
  • •Drive BMC security architecture (secure boot, root of trust, attestation, SPDM, signed update flows) and respond to firmware CVEs.
  • •Build BMC-driven telemetry/observability for fleet operations, define SLOs and update/rollback strategy, and hire/mentor/scale the BMC engineering team.

Key Requirements

  • •8+ years of firmware engineering with deep hands-on BMC experience.
  • •Hands-on expertise with a production BMC stack (OpenBMC, AMI MegaRAC, or equivalent), including embedded Linux, U-Boot, and device tree.
  • •Demonstrated experience leading BMC bring-up on new server platforms using schematics, I2C/PMBus device maps, GPIO assignments, and platform power sequencing.
  • •Strong C/C++ on embedded Linux; comfortable in Python or shell for automation and tooling.
  • •Deep familiarity with BMC management protocols and standards (IPMI 2.0, Redfish, PLDM, MCTP, NC-SI) plus hands-on debugging across BMC-to-host interfaces.
