Job Summary

Lead broking for a complex portfolio within the Central Region Commercial Broking team, delivering tailored property & casualty risk solutions to mid-market clients. Manage placements and service, analyze clients’ risk exposures, and define coverage requirements. Prepare marketing proposals for renewals and new business, negotiate premiums and coverage with underwriters, and maintain underwriting relationships to secure the best terms for clients.

Key Responsibilities

•Manage a complex portfolio, including placement and service, and ensure client deliverables are maintained.
•Analyze clients’ risk exposure and define coverage requirements.
•Prepare marketing proposals for renewals and new business.
•Negotiate with underwriters on premiums and coverage, and follow up to ensure negotiated contract conditions are respected.
•Approve documentation for new contracts, policy changes, additions, deletions, and renewals; build and maintain underwriting relationships and attend client/prospect meetings.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: CAD 84,930 - 125,000

Key Requirements

•10+ years of proven expertise in the insurance industry, including 3+ years in commercial broking, ideally in Property & Casualty (P&C).
•In-depth knowledge of property and casualty insurance products.
•Strong negotiation and communication abilities.
•Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
•RIBO licence (or equivalent) required, or must be obtained within 3 months.
