Job Summary

Join the Athelas Home Engineering team to build and scale the FDA-cleared IoT medical device product. You’ll develop backend and frontend services, translate product requirements into technical solutions, implement security practices, and collaborate across engineering, operations, quality, and regulatory teams using a modern stack (Python, Flask, React, Postgres, Kubernetes, Docker) to improve care delivery and patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

•Develop backend and frontend services for the Athelas device product, improving infrastructure and building robust, scalable back-end services
•Translate product requirements into technical solutions that meet business and regulatory needs
•Implement cybersecurity best practices throughout the software development lifecycle
•Collaborate with engineering, operations, quality, and regulatory teams to ensure production software meets operational, security, and regulatory requirements
•Establish and enforce best practices for code quality, testing, and deployment

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent extensive experience
•Professional software engineering experience, proficiency in Python
•Deep expertise in developing and managing data pipelines and experience with PostgreSQL or similar relational DBMS
•Advanced knowledge in Containerization and Cloud Services (Docker, Kubernetes)
•Strong ability to translate product requirements into technical solutions and maintain robust production systems
