Job Summary

Support multiple operational sites with hands-on health and safety oversight. Conduct routine safety inspections and field assessments, deliver and coordinate required training, and help review incidents using evidence gathering and root-cause analysis. Maintain OSHA and other regulatory documentation (logs, SDS, checklists, training and incident records), assist with audits, and coach employees on PPE and safe work practices to ensure ongoing compliance and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

•Conduct routine safety inspections and field assessments across multiple sites, identify hazards/unsafe conditions, document findings, and follow up on corrective actions.
•Deliver and coordinate health and safety training (new-hire orientations, refresher training, toolbox talks, and specialized training) and ensure attendance/certification documentation.
•Assist with incident learning and reviews by gathering information, interviewing witnesses, and participating in root cause analysis and corrective action planning.
•Maintain compliance and documentation for each site, including OSHA logs or other regulatory records, SDS, inspection checklists, training records, and incident report files.
•Support internal/external assessments and regulatory inspections by preparing documents, conducting pre-audit walkthroughs, accompanying auditors, and addressing audit findings.

Key Requirements

•Associate's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field and 1 year of health & safety professional experience; or at least 3 years of professional health & safety experience; or an equivalent combination of education/certifications/experience.
•Professional safety certifications such as CHST (Construction Health and Safety Technician) or other relevant credentials (e.g., OHST); First Aid/CPR is a plus.
•Proficiency with standard office and reporting software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite) for compiling reports, training presentations, and tracking data.
•Experience with EHS management systems or incident reporting databases is an asset.
•Valid driver's license is required for regular travel by vehicle.
