Key Responsibilities

  • •Complete and record electrical installation and modification work to ensure compliance with Health and Safety legislation.
  • •Conduct risk assessments and write Safe System of Work documents; assist with PUWER assessments for plant and equipment.
  • •Plan, update, and replace obsolete equipment, and develop reliability-focused maintenance schedules in the computerized maintenance management system.
  • •Monitor logged faults and breakdowns, implement reliability improvements, and carry out logical fault finding using drawings, PLC programs, and test equipment.
  • •Design and draw circuit diagrams using CAD, write PLC programs with an updated Control Synopsis, and install/commission new equipment with contractors and suppliers.

Key Requirements

  • •Preferably experience with Allen Bradley/Rockwell PLCs in high-speed manufacturing and hands-on electrical installation work.
  • •Time served Electrical Engineering Apprentice with awareness of 18th Edition and competency working to BS7671, BS2391, and other legislation.
  • •Knowledge of Electricity at Work Regulations and safe working practices including Lock Off and Tag Out.
  • •Strong safety mindset with an organised, methodical approach to problems and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • •Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or within a team while continuously improving and learning.
