Job Summary

Lead the research, design, development, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems for projects at EES Vancouver. Serve as the principal designer responsible for mechanical system function and safety, coordinate with multidisciplinary and global teams, and ensure complete system integration. Prepare and review technical documentation (e.g., drawings, FEA reports, FMEA, and standards), oversee CAD/PLM data, and drive process and design improvement while executing test and commissioning plans.

Key Responsibilities

•Be the principal designer for mechanical systems associated with assigned project(s), ensuring function and safety.
•Coordinate with multidisciplinary and global teams to support project scope and system integration goals.
•Plan for and execute testing and commissioning of systems created as part of assigned projects.
•Prepare and review technical documentation, including part drawings, FEA reports, design reports, FMEA analysis, and relevant standards (e.g., ISO, CSA).
•Create and maintain project CAD/PLM data and oversee/review technical drawings, reports, and other mechanical design work.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree or greater in an applicable engineering discipline.
•5+ years of related industry experience.

•Experience with functional safety application design and development under IEC EN 61508.
