Key Responsibilities

  • •Visit customer homes to collect measurements, photographs, and structural/electrical data for solar design.
  • •Assess roof conditions, electrical service panels, and property features using standardized tools and protocols.
  • •Climb ladders, walk rooftops, and conduct attic inspections as required.
  • •Submit accurate survey data using mobile field tools and support readiness for final AHJ/utility approval.
  • •Collaborate with install teams and project managers, provide documentation, and help schedule inspections with AHJ and customers.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or GED required.
  • •Previous PV design, PV installation, or PV electrical experience (e.g., reading blueprints/plans, testing wiring/circuitry, and knowledge of the National Electric Code) is helpful.
  • •Comfortable working on roofs, using ladders, and in tight or elevated spaces.
  • •Familiarity with basic hand tools, measuring devices, and mobile technology.
  • •OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred; must be at least 21 and have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
