Job Summary

Verify new and existing microarchitectural features for AMD’s next-generation x86 CPU cores. Own a unit- or core-level portion of verification by building tests, checkers, assertions, and coverage models in a C++ and Verilog/SystemVerilog environment. Collaborate with RTL designers, architects, and verification engineers, debug simulation failures with root-cause analysis, and drive functional and code coverage closure using AI-assisted, agent-based development tools.

Key Responsibilities

•Collaborate with RTL designers, architects, and verification engineers to understand microarchitectural features, corner cases, and verification requirements.
•Own the test plan, stimulus, checking, and functional coverage for an assigned portion of unit- or core-level verification.
•Design, implement, and maintain C++ and SystemVerilog testbench components using modular verification agent patterns.
•Write and maintain SystemVerilog assertions and functional coverage models.
•Debug simulation failures, drive root-cause analysis, and improve stimulus/checking to close functional and code coverage, leveraging AI-assisted tools.

Key Requirements

•Strong understanding of computer architecture and processor microarchitecture.
•Experience using C++ and SystemVerilog to build verification infrastructure for complex hardware designs.
•Working knowledge of digital logic/RTL design concepts using Verilog.
•Familiarity with constrained-random testing and coverage-driven verification.
•Understanding of assembly-level programming and instruction execution at the ISA level.
