Key Responsibilities

  • •Define and own the multi-year technology strategy and roadmap across statutory/GAAP close, reinsurance accounting, investment accounting, regulatory/statutory reporting, and FP&A/finance operations.
  • •Drive prioritization and governance for the insurance finance technology portfolio, balancing near-term close needs with long-term modernization aligned to finance leadership.
  • •Partner with CFO/CAO and insurance finance teams to translate business requirements into scalable technology solutions and coordinate with engineering on solution design.
  • •Lead product lifecycle and delivery cadence: discovery, requirements management, vendor selection, solution design/configuration, testing, rollout, change management, adoption, and continuous improvement.
  • •Modernize and automate the insurance finance and accounting stack (including analytics and AI-enabled capabilities), ensure regulatory/SOX/data governance controls, and measure outcomes via product/delivery metrics.

Key Requirements

  • •12+ years leading insurance finance/accounting technology programs, product management, technology delivery, or transformation in financial services/insurance environments.
  • •Proven track record building and leading product and delivery teams, personally delivering enterprise finance technology programs at scale across multiple geographies.
  • •Deep understanding of the close-to-report cycle and modern insurance finance operating model (statutory/GAAP close, reinsurance, investment accounting, regulatory/statutory reporting, FP&A, and finance shared services).
  • •Hands-on familiarity with insurance finance technology platforms and data/analytics approaches, including examples such as SAP/PeopleSoft, OneStream/HFM/Anaplan, Clearwater Analytics, and custom platforms using Snowflake/Python/React.
  • •Knowledge of GAAP/statutory principles and NAIC/state regulatory requirements and how they impact finance technology, data architecture, and controls; AI/ML and workflow automation experience is a plus.
