Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform quality control testing and monitoring of crushed aggregates, recycled materials, and hot mix asphalt mixtures.
  • •Work safely and comply with OSHA and MSHA regulations and Tilcon environmental, health and safety policies.
  • •Provide test data to the plant manager and other plant personnel in a timely manner.
  • •Provide process and mix adjustment recommendations as required.
  • •Maintain accurate databases and record logs; support internal and external customers with material specifications and test results.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or GED, or 3+ years of practical work experience.
  • •Maintain state agency QC/QA certifications and comply with agency specifications as part of the quality control program.
  • •Ability to carry out standardized laboratory tests in accordance with ASTM and AASHTO standards.
  • •Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and the ability to use a computer to communicate and analyze data.
  • •Read English sufficiently to use specifications, reports, manuals, and regulations.
