Job Summary

Lead supplier recovery and capability improvement for engineered items within the Global Supplier Development organization. Drive containment and recovery actions, run RCCA investigations, and manage structured improvement plans using KPI gate reviews. Identify and assess suppliers, develop development roadmaps, and support transitions using sustainment planning. Partner across commodity, quality, engineering, operations, and supplier teams while maintaining progress through maturity models and tools like FMEA, Control Plans, and APQP. Travel to supplier sites at least 50%.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead internal and supplier containment actions in collaboration with Operations and Quality.
•Conduct RCCA investigations and develop and implement structured improvement plans with clear checkpoint communication.
•Monitor leading and lagging KPIs, assess containment exit criteria, and escalate persistent issues to crisis mode or tiger teams.
•Lead supplier site identification and assessments, engage suppliers with development roadmaps tied to maturity models, and manage KPI gate reviews and sustainment planning.
•Support supplier transitions and execute APQP and work transition projects for new product launches.

Key Requirements

•Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years of relevant experience (or an Advanced Degree with minimum 5 years).
•Ability to travel to supplier sites as needed—minimum of 50% of time.
•Ability to lead supplier recovery efforts and supplier transitions.
•Ability to conduct Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations for critical quality or delivery issues.
•Background in operations/manufacturing, engineering, quality, or supply chain with supplier-facing work.
