Key Responsibilities

  • •Act as a safety leader and put safety first in all responsibilities.
  • •Service and troubleshoot Rotary Vacuum Chamber and other flexible plastic packaging equipment to maintain optimum performance.
  • •Perform preventative maintenance, installation support, and start-up activities for packaging equipment at customer facilities.
  • •Rebuild Rotary Chamber equipment in Amcor’s R&D facility in New London, WI and provide input for design/installation/start-up of equipment from suppliers.
  • •Conduct customer training on proper operation and maintenance; maintain timely reports, expense reports, and weekly schedules.

Key Requirements

  • •Technical degree or equivalent experience in electrical or mechanical technology (or similar discipline).
  • •3–5 years of experience in the food packaging industry, including material and machinery.
  • •Mechanical and electrical aptitude to troubleshoot most packaging machine issues.
  • •Ability to travel 75% or more and hold a valid driver’s license.
  • •Experience supporting/maintaining packaging equipment, including preventative maintenance and troubleshooting (mechatronics training/certification preferred).
