Key Responsibilities

  • •Serve as senior technical resource and advisor for the team, providing specialized input to studies and design in the staff's area of expertise.
  • •Develop study and design procedures to facilitate high-quality, cost-effective work by others and participate in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.
  • •Develop construction cost estimates and estimates of technical effort for projects and use expertise in all steps of completing the PS&E package.
  • •Perform quality control review of design calculations or drawings and prepare technical specification sections.
  • •Provide input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet project requirements.

Key Requirements

  • •BA/BS in Civil/Structural Engineering with 6+ years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • •PE (Professional Engineer) licensure in Texas
  • •Ability to pass MVR check
  • •Master of Science in Civil/Structural Engineering degree (preferred)
  • •Knowledge of Civil3D, MicroStation, LEAP Bridge Concrete, MDX, CSiBridge, STAAD, AASHTOWare (preferred)
