Key Responsibilities

  • •Direct and optimize daily batching, mixing, filling, and packaging operations to produce specialty chemicals and construction materials.
  • •Manage production schedules and raw material planning, including receipt and accurate SAP recording in coordination with Planning, Procurement, and Supply Chain.
  • •Drive EHS compliance and promote a safety culture, including incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions.
  • •Ensure quality and process assurance by partnering with Quality Control and Technical teams and maintaining standard operating procedures aligned with ISO 9001.
  • •Lead production supervisors and general workers, plan manpower and shift structures, coordinate across production functions, and partner with Maintenance on preventive maintenance and downtime reduction.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • •7 to 10 years of manufacturing experience, including 3 to 5 years in a supervisory or managerial role in chemical processing or comparable process-manufacturing environments.
  • •Practical experience with batch mixing/blending, automated filling lines, pumps, and ERP/MRP systems, with SAP experience preferred.
  • •Sound knowledge of process safety and chemical safety standards, Lean manufacturing, 5S, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.
  • •Strong leadership and cross-functional communication skills, with ability to be based at the Nilai plant and communicate in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
