Key Responsibilities

  • •Contribute to delivery of the group business planning process, ensuring strategic alignment across the Group and bottom-line benefits.
  • •Participate in preparation of the joined-up De Beers consolidated business plan with a 5-year focus and life of mine.
  • •Prepare presentation materials and reports supporting the De Beers Group business plan and budget.
  • •Analyze monthly operational performance and flash-report inputs; review monthly/quarterly performance reports and flag prompts to senior management.
  • •Analyze monthly mining spend vs the approved capital plan, investigating variances and articulating risks and opportunities.

Key Requirements

  • •Degree in a relevant financial qualification or technical mining discipline.
  • •5 years’ experience in mine planning/engineering at a mining site, or operational experience on a mining operation, or a financial role serving a mining client.
  • •Higher technical degree and/or CIMA/CA is advantageous.
  • •Knowledge of financial planning and analysis, including investment appraisal/valuation approaches.
  • •Experience with Hyperion Strategic Finance (HSF), Onestream and AFC (HFM) is advantageous.
