Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform analysis in area(s) of responsibility, including field inspections, field measurements, and equipment walk downs.
  • •Ensure safety and environmental programs are followed and support regulatory compliance in accordance with NRG standards and policies.
  • •Support and monitor teams focusing on problem areas for generating units, including Root Cause Analysis.
  • •Conduct predictive maintenance testing and analysis and maintain accurate, up-to-date predictive maintenance databases and reports.
  • •Coordinate with vendors/contractors and internal stakeholders; provide technical support to plant operations and maintenance and monitor project progress/health with required tracking and reporting.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum 2 years technical training at an accredited university or technical institute plus 6 years experience in area(s) of specialization; or a High School diploma with 8 years experience in a power plant focused on operations, maintenance, or technical work.
  • •Knowledge of power plant systems and ability to work effectively in in-plant environments and field site locations.
  • •Perform field inspections, field measurements, and equipment walk downs, using independent judgment to recognize problems and recommend solutions.
  • •Technical support and maintenance analysis using predictive maintenance technologies such as vibration monitoring, oil analysis, infrared thermography, motor current analysis, ultrasonic monitoring, and equipment balancing/laser alignment.
  • •Must have a TWIC Card or secure one prior to the date of hire.
