Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate a heavy vehicle according to applicable state and federal transportation laws, transporting loads safely and on time.
  • •Perform loading/unloading tasks by maneuvering truck and trailer into loading areas, following loading crew signals, and using specialized equipment when needed.
  • •Maintain and deliver required shipping paperwork (invoices and shipping bills of lading) and documentation at the end of the delivery route.
  • •Use real-time access to fleet locations, work orders, and delivery details to drive efficient operations.
  • •Assist with routine service checks (oil, water, gasoline, air) and report maintenance malfunctions to the Shipping Supervisor; arrange trailers in shipping yards.

Key Requirements

  • •Hold a Commercial Driver’s License (Class A CDL) (or chauffeur’s license depending on state) appropriate for the vehicle’s weight.
  • •Pass background and drug testing per federal/state DOT regulations, and complete a DOT physical (trucks over 10k lbs).
  • •Be at least 21 years old to operate the company vehicle.
  • •Strong customer service and professional communication with customers and staff at delivery points.
  • •Physical ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds and perform prolonged sitting in a trailer cab.
