Job Summary

Lead Engineer in Intel’s Yield Group responsible for driving yield and defect reduction across advanced packaging technology. Analyze large manufacturing and test data, apply statistical and ML methods, and coordinate cross-functional teams to improve processes, tests, and defect detection. Shape roadmaps, mentor engineers, and travel domestically/internationally to support technology development and ramp to high-volume manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

•Extract insights from structured and unstructured datasets using statistical analysis, machine learning techniques, and data mining methodologies.
•Analyze large volumes of manufacturing, test, and defect data to identify yield-impacting trends and opportunities for improvement.
•Develop and implement solutions using manufacturing process knowledge, statistical methods, and structured problem-solving techniques.
•Drive recommendations and influence yield improvement roadmaps across technology development and manufacturing organizations.
•Collaborate with Process Engineering, Integration, Quality and Reliability (Q&R), Product Engineering, and Test Development Engineering teams to resolve yield and defect challenges.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline with 9+ years of experience, or Master’s with 6+ years, or PhD with 4+ years
•5+ years of experience performing data analysis using tools like JMP, Python, or similar statistical tools
•Experience in Materials Science/Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Physics, or Chemistry
•Experience leading data-driven yield improvement projects and cross-functional collaboration
•Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data visualization skills with ability to communicate complex results to technical and non-technical audiences
