Key Responsibilities

  • •Pick up, deliver, inspect, and sanitize eggs to determine quality and fitness for incubation.
  • •Store and grade eggs by observing shell color, quality, and texture; place hatching eggs into buggies and pack eggs for international orders.
  • •Load and deliver PS/SS eggs by truck, including assisting with loading for transport to an off-site hatchery.
  • •Monitor hatchery environment hourly for proper temperature and humidity levels and report issues as needed.
  • •Maintain sanitation of equipment and facilities by operating cleaning tools and performing daily/weekly disinfecting and waste removal.

Key Requirements

  • •Must have at least 12 months of consecutive work history with one employer and no employment gaps greater than 6 months in the past 36 months (18 months if laid off or providing child/elder care).
  • •Previous full-time student history (last 36 months) does not count toward prior work history requirements.
  • •Willing to follow biosecurity procedures, including showering and changing clothing/footwear before entering the facility.
  • •Able to meet physical demands including safe lifting and regularly lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs and pushing/pulling egg racks up to 1000 lbs.
  • •Must reside in the United States to be considered for an interview.
