Job Summary

Serve as a key legal advisor within the Visa CEMEA Legal team, primarily supporting Marketing Services (VAS) and related Visa products, services, and marketing matters across CEMEA markets. Counsel business stakeholders on solution structuring, legislative requirements, and common approaches; draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts; coordinate outside counsel when needed; monitor regulatory developments; and improve and streamline legal processes, including leveraging AI tools.

Key Responsibilities

•Act as a dedicated counsel/go-to lawyer for VAS/Marketing Services in CEMEA.
•Provide strategic legal advice to business on assessment, structuring of solutions, legislative requirements, and common approaches.
•Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, developing and managing regional templates/standard documents or adapting global/regional documents to CEMEA needs.
•Support Marketing Services teams with structuring and running promotions, marketing and advertising matters, including reviews and assessments.
•Monitor regulatory developments, streamline and automate legal processes, leverage AI to improve efficiency, and coordinate outside counsel when required.

Travel: Low travel

Key Requirements

•Law degree and qualification that allows for in-house practice in the applicable jurisdiction.
•Minimum 8 years PQE with an international law firm or a multinational organization.
•Experience supporting payment industry and advertising/marketing matters is advantageous.
•Strong contract review/drafting skills and ability to conduct legal assessments with sound commercial/legal risk judgment.
•Excellent written and verbal English, with the ability to work independently and interface with stakeholders.
