Job Summary

Lead Cloud Operations Engineering to build internal tools and process automation that keep MongoDB Atlas reliable. Oversee incident and project delivery, monitor alert dashboards and critical logs, and support server administration with performance troubleshooting. Partner cross-functionally with Product, Technical Services, and R&D to reduce mean time to resolve customer incidents, drive automation improvements, and coordinate weekly on-call rotations while fostering a high-performing, psychologically safe team.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide technical leadership by partnering with Cloud Operations Engineering Management on feedback, coaching, and creating an inclusive team environment.
•Guide execution and delivery of project deliverables to ensure high-quality outcomes and support timeline adjustments when needed.
•Assist with daily operations including incident handling, system monitoring, and reviewing critical event and system logs.
•Coordinate cross-functional work with Product, Technical Services, and R&D to surface pain points and align on an excellent end-customer experience.
•Support scoping, designing, deploying, and maintaining systems to reduce mean time to resolve customer incidents, including weekly on-call rotation coordination.

Key Requirements

•Strong leadership with hands-on experience in similar roles within small to mid-sized Engineering teams in a rapid-growth environment.
•Diagnostic/troubleshooting skills with end-to-end production issue troubleshooting experience.
•Experience supervising, leading, and monitoring progress of software development projects.
•Experience being an on-call DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Operations engineer.
•Expertise with Linux system administration and networking technologies.
