Lead shift-based manufacturing operations to hit safety, quality, delivery, and cost goals in a high-volume plant. Manage 80-100 production staff across 3 shifts, drive lean improvements, coordinate with service, planning, QA and shipping, and oversee capital projects and training to sustain operational performance.

Key Responsibilities

•Oversee and optimize shop-floor manufacturing operations across the shift, ensuring on-time production and adherence to schedules and labor reporting.
•Enforce plant safety rules, ensure quality requirements are understood and met by all staff, and coordinate with Customer Service, Planning, Quality and Shipping to meet customer orders.
•Lead production meetings and manage 3 shift Supervisors and 8-10 team leads with 80-100 production employees; develop and motivate staff.
•Support capital projects and the installation of new equipment, including capex planning and implementation.
•Apply lean manufacturing techniques (5S, continuous improvement, quick changeovers) and lead initiatives to improve processes and introduce new technologies.

Key Requirements

•Automotive customer base exposure
•Understanding of ISO/TS16949 and quality system requirements
•Highly organized with excellent oral and written communication skills
•Experience leading shop-floor teams and coordinating cross-functional activities
