Key Responsibilities

  • •Grow owner’s engineer (OE) capabilities within the renewables business unit, including creating OE strategy and identifying hires to expand the team.
  • •Lead and participate in cradle-to-grave owner’s engineer opportunities, owning the client engineering interface and overseeing discipline-specific engineers.
  • •Provide project leadership/oversight for electrical infrastructure designs and studies for solar, BESS, and wind, ensuring compliance with client specifications, national electrical codes, and best practices.
  • •Coordinate, review, and approve electrical infrastructure design plans for mid-level and complex projects, ensuring data integrity and compliance with applicable codes, ordinances, and regulations.
  • •Oversee design and construction delivery from inception to completion, including planning inputs (safety/phasing) and coordinating with owners, other disciplines, sub-consultants, and clients.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • •12+ years of relevant post-education experience as an electrical engineer providing design deliverables for renewables at utility, industrial, or commercial scale.
  • •Highly proficient in electrical engineering principles, process, and design/build practices, including permitting and project-related issues.
  • •Experience with BOP design and with infrastructure planning, design, and program/construction management, including adjacent disciplines like civil engineering, P&C, SCADA, and telecom.
  • •Proven ability to mentor staff and apply strong engineering judgment with compliance to laws, codes, regulations, and record-keeping requirements.
