Key Responsibilities

  • •Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections per DOT and CarMax standards.
  • •Maintain accurate DOT logs and compliant documentation.
  • •Load, secure, transport, and unload CarMax vehicles safely, including hands-on freight handling.
  • •Move vehicles between CarMax locations and approved vendors using a company-provided truck while keeping equipment clean and operational.
  • •Deliver vehicles accurately and on time while representing CarMax professionally with vendors, associates, and the public.

Key Requirements

  • •21 years of age or older with a valid state-issued driver’s license.
  • •Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and 2+ years of Class A CDL driving experience.
  • •Clean driving record with no serious violations in the past three years and ability to meet CarMax’s Driver Safety Evaluation criteria.
  • •Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and secure/block/restrain vehicles using load securement procedures.
  • •Comfort working outdoors and meeting DOT & FMCSA qualification requirements.
