Key Responsibilities

  • •Enhance Canva’s frontend testing experience by building the software, frameworks, and infrastructure that underpin how engineers test their code.
  • •Design, build, and evolve core components of Canva’s Quality Platform to enable thousands of engineers to test effectively and confidently.
  • •Lead technical design and delivery of platform solutions, partnering with engineering teams to improve developer velocity and quality.
  • •Drive initiatives to reduce test flakiness, improve test health visibility, and implement smarter diagnostics.
  • •Improve CI/CD test feedback loops and proactively own the architecture, scalability, performance, and health of testing infrastructure.

Key Requirements

  • •Design, build, and maintain robust software systems with strong system design and operational best practices, and be comfortable making technical trade-offs while staying hands-on.
  • •Experience building developer tooling and/or testing infrastructure, including CI/CD systems or platform engineering work (not a QA/manual testing role).
  • •Demonstrated ability to lead significant engineering initiatives from ambiguous problem definition through technical design, implementation, delivery, and adoption.
  • •Strong understanding of test automation across unit, integration, and E2E levels and the engineering challenges of scalable, maintainable testing frameworks.
  • •Ability to articulate complex technical concepts, build alignment across teams, and influence technical decisions beyond your immediate team.
