Key Responsibilities

  • •Optimize injection molding processes (speed/pressure profiles, screw recovery, hold/pack pressure, cooling, cycle-time efficiency) and perform quality checks after changes.
  • •Troubleshoot defects (short shots, flash, gate issues, bubbles, discoloration, unmelts) and diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and process-related issues.
  • •Lead mold and core changeovers and startup: install/align, connect utilities, verify hot runner/valve gates, set up robot EOAT, stabilize production, and update process sheets/HMI/SAP records.
  • •Perform daily machine and process verification (mold/hot runner identification, cavitation, color system functionality, robot sensors/photo eyes) and escalate discrepancies.
  • •Support preventative/predictive maintenance and basic upkeep (replace valves/hoses/fittings, clear feed throat/nozzle blockages, replace seals/O-rings, support hot runner/mold PMs).

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or GED; some post-secondary technical/vocational training in millwright, electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, or industrial maintenance preferred.
  • •3–5 years of experience working with high-speed injection molding equipment, preferably Husky PET systems.
  • •Experience in high-speed manufacturing environments and maintenance/electrical troubleshooting.
  • •Ability to use SAP and basic computer skills (Microsoft Office).
  • •Strong interpersonal communication and analytical problem-solving skills, with flexibility for overtime/off-shift support.
