Key Responsibilities

  • •Support regulatory legal matters across the Americas, including advice on existing licenses/registrations and potential applications.
  • •Research and summarize regulatory developments affecting payments and financial services, identifying impacts on strategy and operations.
  • •Partner with Product Legal, Regulatory Compliance, Risk, and Financial Crime Compliance on regulatory questions for money transmission, stored value, FX, remittance, card issuing, and related products.
  • •Support product and business teams on new market entry, license expansion, and regulatory mapping for new products and features.
  • •Provide practical legal guidance and risk assessments, including assistance with regulatory filings and management of external counsel.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 150,000 - 220,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Qualified lawyer with 5 years of relevant post-qualification experience.
  • •Regulatory, financial-services, or fintech experience in-house, private practice, or at a financial institution.
  • •Exposure to payments and financial-services regulatory areas such as money transmission, e-money, FX, remittances, and card issuing.
  • •Working understanding of the US financial-services regulatory environment, with interest in state money-transmitter licensing and payment flows.
  • •Ability to research complex legal and regulatory questions and translate findings into clear, practical advice.
